Ascension Builders has a unique process when it comes to working with our clients on a build. Owner Jonathan Simmons and his wife have designed, built, and lived in over 10 homes in the last 10 years. This gives us a very clear understanding about all that is involved in the building process and what makes this a fun thing for the whole family. After all, it seems to be the journey that we all remember and enjoy the most.
Ascension Builders will guide you through the whole process from designing your dream house to drawings to putting on the last piece of trim. It’s somewhere in between where most people get lost, but we believe that the key to a successful build is thorough communication. If a client is surprised by a certain outcome, then we believe the builder has failed at his job. In order to have a transparent process with no surprises, we use online management software called BuilderTREND. All documents, plans, selections, schedules, change orders, and budgets are updated on your personalized site and accessible at all times. The builder, owner, and sub-trades have access to the same information which streamlines the process and eliminates miscommunications and unnecessary delays.
Once a set of plans is supplied to us, we give a fixed-price quote. If the quote is accepted, we draw up a detailed contract which covers the whole scope of the build, ensuring that you have a thorough understanding of what to expect. If you haven’t made your mind up on exact products or finishings, we will provide you with a budget amount for those items. Once the contract is signed, we take a deposit as per industry standard, and proceed with a progress draw build which is common with most banks. If you need flexible financing, we also work with a number of investors who may be able to provide bridge financing until the build is complete. We do our best to accommodate all our clients no matter what stage of life they are at.
